 Rainman Productions Studio Policy

Please take a minute to familiarize yourself with our studio policies. A clear understanding of the policy will make the sessions go more smoothly.

     Booking

We require a %50 deposit to book your first session. The deposit will be applied to your session or refunded if you cancel more than 48 hours before your session time. If your deposit is not received within 48 hours of your session time, your time may be forfeited to another client.

     Payment

Payment is required upon completion of each session. Payment may be made by cash, credit card, Paypal, or direct bank deposit or transfer.

     Masters

Your account must be paid in full before we release your masters to you. Masters are generally provided on CD, DVD or hard drive, but we may send you your files via the web if they are not too large.

     Billable Items

When we are working on your project, this time is billable. This includes when you are present in the studio with the engineer and when you are not. This includes doing requested edits, creating stems, or sending your tracks via the web. Transferring your session files to your hard drive ties up the studio and therefore is also billable time. We will discuss these billable tasks with you prior to doing them.

     Studio Time

If the studio is available we will set up before your start time no charge. Please call or email us a day before your session to determine if an early setup is possible. The clock begins when the engineer starts working with you setting up equipment, getting levels When you indicate you are finished and the equipment is no longer in use the clock stops. (If a master is being burned, the clock continues to run until the master is finished.) we don't charge for clean up.

     Breaks

If during 8 hour session or longer you wish to take a meal break, you may do so off the clock. If you want to work through the break to listen to playback, editing, overdubs, etc., the clock continues to run. If we encounter any technical problem, the clock stops until it's fixed.

     Starting Time

When you book studio time, you are expected to arrive on time and we will be prepared to start on time. We will bill you from the start of your scheduled time regardless of whether you are on time or late. Studio time is billed in quarter hour increments.

     Ending Time

We do our best to be flexible. Sometimes another session is scheduled immediately following yours and most often we allow at least 30 minutes between sessions. If you should require a little more time, we will try to continue and ask the next session appointment if they can wait. However, if this is not acceptable to them, we ask that you be considerate and stop your project and schedule another session. It is always a good idea to estimate the amount of time you will need and schedule accordingly.

     Open-Ended Time

If no one is scheduled after you, such as at the end of the day or on weekends, you may continue until you reach feel your session is complete. A minimum of 2 hours must be scheduled. If you complete your tasks before the 2 hours is up you will still be required to pay for the full 2 hours. Equipment Rental If there is something you need that we do not have available, you may bring it yourself or request we rent it for you from a local equipment rental company. This must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
