David "Rain" Banta

    Along with earning several multiplatinums, and charting #1 on Billboard 29xs for his mixing, David works as a music arranger for many top companies including Disney, Pixar, and Sony Music. 
  David is creating original piano arrangements and sheet music for The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Justin Beiber, Doja Cat, Disney, Pixar, Sony Music, Universal Music and Pictures, Capitol Records, and others.
 David also currently works for Sony Music and Epic Records doing artist development.

   David's mixes have been featured singles on many platinum-selling Billboard #1 charting albums including 2 triple and a double platinum for all of Europe, an 8 times platinum in the U.K a 5 times platinum in Taiwan, 4 times platinums in Italy and Denmark, and triple platinums in the UK and Ireland. His mixes have charted #1 on various Billboard charts across the world 29 times including 2 #1 selling albums for all of Europe and a #1 on the Heatseekers chart in the U.S. 

David is both a highly trained and experienced musician and recording engineer with degrees in music and electronics. He has performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered many different styles.


He's a pianist. orchestrator, an arranger who studied music in NYC full time for a decade with some of the greatest musicians the world has ever seen. He spent many years as a full-time session/touring musician.

His mixing credits include (first engineer) Tupac, Michael Jackson, "Thug Life", "Bone Thugs N Harmony", Luther Vandross, Tina Turner, "Do or Die" "Crucial Conflict" The Roots", Tracie Spencer, Take That (Featuring Robbie Williams) Sting, Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg, Eazy E., Ice T., M.C.Ren, "Digital Underground", "The Pharcyde", Rodney O and Joe Cooley, and Coolio.
David has mixed and mastered over 50 songs at his studio that have been released by "Bone Thugs N Harmony". Many of those he produced and/or recorded.

Dave has a B.S. in Music Education from "The King's College" New York, N.Y.where he attended on a music performance scholarship. He taught recording engineering at UCLA for 10 years, "Musician's Institute" and "Pinnacle College" He also taught music from kindergarten through 12th grade in public schools for several years

His production/composition credits include music for NASCAR on Fox Sports and he composed, produced, and recorded the "NASCAR Highlights Theme" on Fox. David produced and composed music for many other huge network shows including "Jack and Jill" on Warner Brothers and "Unsung" on TvOne
He was also the Senior Producer and on-air talent on a hit show KPFK 90.7FM LA/Hollywood, 93.7FM San Diego, 98.7FM Santa Barbara, 99.5FM Ridgecrest-China Lake. (The most powerful FM station (transmitting signal wattage) west of the Mississippi)
